The Neanderthal's Second Try

I apologize to the few that may have seen my first attempt at this blogging deal. I was really just being amazed as my friend Professor Lee Ling showed me how to set this up and send a blog from an e-mail. If you should read this blog from time to time you will readily see why at the College of Micronesia-Federated States of Micronesia (COM-FSM) I refer to myself as the Tech Neanderthal. While this is a self-proclaimed title I find that none of my colleagues disagree.

I do want the blog to state a few professional opinions in my field in general but specifically comments about education in a developing nation like the FSM. But too, I wanted a place to be a bit crazy. Being a bit crazy is another area to which I find little collegial disagreement. But right away upon my first postings it was rightly pointed out to me that I should take some care with names and be sure that I understood that that the college president, the FSM president and of course even the new U S president might stumble across this page. I don't really sweat this too much as all three have far more to deal with than something I may mumble forth. I have no fear....not about my professional opinions. However it was pointed out that my cursing and obscure analogies often detracted from my professionalism and may leave me defending more than just my point of view.

To at least separate the professional Dr. Richard A. Womack, Professor from the crazy one I will just have something called Kaniki's Corner. Kaniki is my traditional title here on Pohnpei and you may learn a little about traditional titles if you care to take a peek at the biography I am preparing. Either way I am looking forward to this and I will be saying what's on my mind sans cursing and names in my professional attempts and in Kaniki's Corner.....I am going to let it all hang out.
